Cancellation and No-Show Policy

1. Appointment Commitment

Tymly reserves dedicated appointment time for each patient. Because evaluation appointments require clinician preparation and dedicated time, patients are expected to provide appropriate notice if they need to cancel or reschedule.

2. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Patients must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests may be made through Tymly’s approved communication methods, including the patient portal or other designated scheduling methods.

Appointments canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled based on appointment availability.

3. Late Cancellation and Missed Appointments

A late cancellation is defined as:

  • Canceling an appointment less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time, or
  • Failing to attend a scheduled appointment without notice (no-show)

For late cancellations and missed appointments, the appointment fee will be forfeited and is non-refundable.

If a patient wishes to schedule a new appointment after a late cancellation or missed appointment, payment for the new appointment will be required before the appointment can be scheduled.

New appointments are subject to availability.

4. Additional Services and Documentation Requests

I understand that additional services requested after the initial evaluation may require additional fees.

Additional services may include:

  • Follow-up evaluations
  • Clinical reassessment
  • Review of additional records
  • Additional forms or documentation requests
  • Updates or revisions to previously completed documentation when clinically appropriate

Patients will be informed of applicable fees before additional services are provided.

5. Refunds and Payments

Appointment fees are collected for the clinician’s reserved time and professional services.

Because appointment times are specifically reserved for each patient, fees are non-refundable for completed services, late cancellations, and missed appointments.

Patients who cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice may be eligible to reschedule based on appointment availability.

Any refund requests outside of these circumstances will be reviewed according to Tymly’s policies and the circumstances involved.

6. Emergencies

I understand that Tymly is not an emergency or crisis service.

If I experience an emergency or urgent mental health concern, I will contact emergency services, call 911, go to the nearest emergency department, or contact the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.
